China is developing A 35kV 2.2kA high temperature superconducting(HTS) cable project in Shanghai . The cable is a 3 in 1 type hts cable in a length of about 1.2km. It wil be install between Changchun substation to Caoxi substation, replacing 4 circuits of XLPE insulation cables. The fault current rate is 25kA for 2.0s. The protype cable have pass the type test in October , 2019. The route construction have been started in April 30th 2020. The project will be energized in 2021.
