Magnesium Dibolide (MgB2) superconductor was discovered by Y. Akimitsu (et al) in 2011. The superconducting properties and low cost make MgB2 attractive for a variety of global applications.
This talk will focus on advances in the superconductor performance and global applications in various fields of accelerator science/technology and industrial applications, including superconducting links for high power/current transmissions.
