When you arrive at the Tokyo Station, please ask the way to the Yaesu South Exit (In Japanese is “Yaesu Minami-guchi”).

From Akihabara Sta.
Train
Take a train (rapid service, 45 min. or semi-rapid service, 52min.) from Akihabara Station and get off at Tsukuba Station (next to the Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal). Take exit A3 for public transportation or take exit A3 for AIST shuttle bus.

Public bus
Take the Kanto Tetsudo bus going to “Arakawaoki Station (West Entrance) via Namiki” or “Ami Chuo Kominkan” from platform #4 at Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal. Get off at “Namiki 2-chome (namiki nì-chomé)” . Walk 3 minutes to AIST Tsukuba Central.

Taxi
Take a taxi at Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal. It takes approximately 15 minutes and it costs about 1,500 yen.

AIST Shuttle Bus
Take a free AIST shuttle bus from a platform for private buses. It stops at AIST Tsukuba West or East before AIST Tsukuba Central. Please note that the shuttle buses are small vehicles and they may not be able to carry all visitors.

By car
Take the Joban Expressway to “Sakura Tsuchiura” exit. Go left towards Tsukuba. At the second intersection (called “Sasagi”), turn right. At the third intersection (called “Namiki Nì-chomé”), turn left.
If you are coming by car, please stop by the guard station.
Parking space
Please stop at the guard station and receive a parking card. Then park at the open parking space around the venue.
